Question number 7:
What is Sankofa?
The idea of us going back to our cultural ancestral history and gathering the best practices to maintain stable family and a strong community on Earth.
We will only reconnect with our cultural ways when we practice it in our daily living; together. This will require that we live in an atmosphere that we are in control of. That being the case, we must control our food , clothing, shelter, health and safety before we can truly appreciate reviving our best cultural practices as we become to embody.
Reparations is an opportunity to put this directive in motion and manifest it in our lives, families, and community. It will require we turn inwards to each other for sustaining Black families, business and social living.
The symbol of the Sankofa image or hieroglyph is a goose flying forward while looking back attending to an egg.
Our time must be managed responsibly with excellent effort to always have surplus for " rainy days" where we may need to go to the root cellar. We must commune as a community with intention. Sankofa will guide our spirit to "fetch it" .; as in our best cultural practices to bring forth a regenerated and restored peoplehood to Black people in America.
